GTD for the New Year - Finally Getting Things Done?
My new year’s resolutions included a number of things, including ‘have a holiday’, ‘participate in Project365‘ and ‘work on getting my GTD process back on track and working for me’. So far I have a holiday planned for December, and have uploaded nine photographs onto Flickr for my Project 365. It is the GTD stuff that is, and always has, caused me the most problems.
I first laid eyes on GTD almost two years ago, and I’ve never quite got the hang of it. Sure, I know about weekly reviews, tickler files and the 43 folders, but I’ve never actually managed to put in the time to get it started, and then keep up the momentum. I’ve tried various computer programs and notebooks, installed things on my Pocket PC as well as various computers, but still have never really got the hang of it.
So 2007 is the year that I finally get the hang of my someday/maybes, get my @contexts together and really start getting things done.
